Welcome To My New Home Page

This site is always under construction. There have been several Harry Baggs sites in the past, but I've finally settled on a home where I'll be able to share my music, photos, news, and articles of interest. Please check back as the site gets updated.

Saxon Sound Home Recording Group - New Compilation

The latest project by the members of the SAXON SOUND HOME RECORDING GROUP is a series of compilations of our favorite songs from the 50's thru the 70's.

The newest compilation is finally completed, and you can learn more about it on the COMP page. The comp is entitled: "Home Sweet Home Recording - Send & Return Volume Four" and there are limited copies available. From the page, you can download clips, interviews, and link to the artist's sites.

Saxon Sound Updates

Saxon Sound is the name of my home studio, and we've moved to Upper Greenwood Lake, NJ.. There's always something going on here, and I'll use this site to update you on the music, the projects, and the gear.

NEW STUFF FOR 2009'

  • The GROWING OLD & STAYING GOLD CD - featuring Harry Baggs and Rich Rilliet from 2007', is still available. Described as "Folkadelic" this collection of songs includes a couple covers by Chrysalis, and Roky Erikson.

  • The NEW INQUISITION CD is done and available. Ten new songs that turn a different corner. You'll find the same depth of psychedelia included, but perhaps on a more relaxed plane. Recorded in 2008', this is one of my favorite collections. Now available - so ask!

  • One of my new projects for 2009' will be an audio/video interpretation of J.D. Salinger's THE CATCHER IN THE RYE. I will be posting a new chapter every two weeks with a slated completion date by year's end. The first chapter, entitled: THE SECRET GOLDFISH can be seen at the bottom of ths page. Due to bandwidth constrictions, I can't post it here with full quality. Better quality videos (as well as the entire series) are being posted at YouTube.
In Chapter One: we get an introduction to Holden Caufield. He's flunked out of school (again), and as the scene opens, he's standing on a nearby hill thinking about what a "loser" he is. The holiday break is approaching, and everyone will be going home to be with their families. Holden isn't excited about telling his family that he flunked out of school, so he decides to leave early and spend a couple days in NYC before going home. Before he leaves, he thinks about the school, his future, and tries to find something to say goodbye to.
